DRUK to Host March Digital Radio Event in Edinburgh

The event will provide an opportunity to hear directly from the major broadcasters in Scotland

LONDON ��Digital Radio UK has confirmed the speakers and location for an upcoming free event in Edinburgh, to be entitled �This is Radio.�

The event will provide an opportunity to hear directly from the major broadcasters in Scotland, including Gareth Hydes, commissioning editor radio, music and events, BBC Radio Scotland; Graham Bryce, group managing director of Bauer City Network; Richard Bogie, general manager News Scotland; and Carol Wyper, marketing manager, the Scottish Sun. The major topic will be digital progress and the future of radio in Edinburgh and Scotland. Attendees will also hear from radio historian David Lloyd, who will look back on Edinburgh radio history �in his inimitable style� and an expert panel including Adam Findlay, managing director, New Wave Media, according to radiotoday.co.uk.

The event, to be hosted by Stuart Barrie, Chair of Radio Academy Scotland, will happen on Thursday, March 15, from 6�8 p.m., at The Place Hotel on York Place, close to Waverley rail station and Forth Radio. Attendance is open to all so email Lucy Forster, if you�d like to go.
