iBiquity Reports Continued Growth of HD Radio in Mexico

LAS VEGAS�iBiquity Digital has announced steady growth in broadcaster adoption of its digital radio system and expanded receiver availability for listeners in Mexico.�

Broadcast groups, including Grupo Radio Centro, Radio F�rmula and the government broadcaster IMER, are leading the digital expansion across Mexico. The country now has more than 40 stations utilizing HD Radio Technology, 13 in Mexico City alone delivering 24 additional HD2/HD3 digital programs. �These recent stations join the many pioneer broadcasters, like Uniradio in Tijuana and�Radio Palacios in Sonora, that have been on the air since 2008 and Oliva Radio, which was the first station to go on the air in Veracruz.

IMER (Instituto Mexicano de la Radio) recently announced it had upgraded all thirteen of its FM stations to include HD Radio Technology. Another 30 radio stations have acquired the necessary equipment and are awaiting approval by the IFT (Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones) to begin operations. Through all of these efforts, more than 36 million listeners are now able to access HD Radio delivered content.

Groupo Radio Centro has also implemented dynamic program data to its stations in Mexico City, delivering song title and artist information synchronized with the audio programming. In addition, several stations have also implemented the HD Radio multimedia service, Artist Experience, and are now delivering station logo images over-the-air to an increasing number of feature equipped HD Radio receivers.

Home and aftermarket HD Radio receivers are available from Alpine, Kenwood, Insignia, Pioneer, Sony and�Sparc, with products ranging from entry-level car stereo products to portable radios. �Retailers with products include Best Buy, Coppel, Liverpool, Sears, Famsa as well as online retailers.

Automakers have also welcomed HD Radio Technology to Mexico and include digital receivers in many vehicles.� Fourteen automakers (Ford, Toyota, Lincoln, Mazda, Dodge, GMC, Mercedes, Jeep, Chevrolet,�Buick, Ram, Mitsubishi, Infiniti, and Chrysler) offer HD Radio receivers in more than 45 vehicle models sold in Mexico.� Over 200,000 vehicles are now on the road in Mexico enjoying the HD Radio experience.
