IEEE Broadcast Symposium to Include Presentations on HD Radio

Symposium will be held from Oct. 12–14 in Hartford, Conn.

HARTFORD, Conn. � The IEEE Broadcast Symposium is one of the world’s preeminent technical conferences on broadcasting technology and this year’s event will offer attendees an exciting, timely and informative three-day program with tutorials and technical sessions. Broadcast engineering experts from around the world will be presenting at the symposium, which will be held from Oct. 12�14�in Hartford, Conn.

Two experts in the HD radio field well known to readers of Radio magazine will be presenting at this symposium. Philipp Schmid of Nautel Ltd. will present �IBOC Single Frequency Network implementation� on Oct. 13�at11:15 a.m. �In addition, Schmid will present �Synchronizing IBOC broadcast components for constant diversity delay� at 3:15 PM on the same day.

Alan Jurison of iHeartMedia will present �HD Radio diversity delay field observations: The need for Automatic Alignment� at 3:45 p.m. on the same day.
