Orlando Travelers Can Now Get Airport Info via HD Radio

FlyMCO debuted this week on 105.1

ORLANDO, Fla.� Orlando International Airport is adding a digital radio station to broadcast information and updates.

FlyMCO(WOMX-HD2 on 105.1) will debut Wednesday, the airport said, with a signal reaching 11 counties via HD radio. Its audio also will be streamed live on the radio.com app as well as OIA’s mobile app and website.

�FlyMCO 105.1HD2 has been created to use the scope and immediacy of mass media to deliver airport information, travel updates, community news and entertainment,� according to OIA�s press release.�

HD radio is one of several means by which OIA is using disseminate information to travelers as usage of the airport hits record setting levels. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, which runs the airport, recently redesigned its website to automatically optimize its layout depending on whether the user is on a cellphone, tablet or computer.
