Polish Radio Continues Digital Radio Expansion

WARSAW�Since October of last year, Polish Radio has provided digital radio transmissions in Warsaw and Katowice. Since August 1, there has been coverage for Wroclaw and Szczecin; and, by this October, it plans on providing digital radio coverage for the cities of Gdansk, Kielce, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan and Opole. By the end of the year, coverage is expected for about 30% of the population.

Media2.pl reports that more digital radio transmissions are slated for next year, with new transmission capacity planned for January 1, April 1, and July 1. Polish Radio expects to provide coverage for all of Poland by December of 2020.
