Small-Scale DAB Testing Continues Around the UK

Listeners in Norwich can now access eight local stations via another one of the 10 small-scale DAB test multiplexes

LONDON�The small-scale DAB trial multiplex in London is now testing from one of its two transmission sites in the capital.When fully launched, the multiplex, which is broadcasting on VHF Block 9A, will cover central London out to the A406 North Circular Road and A205 South Circular Road. In the meantime, the test transmissions cover a smaller area, reportsa516digital.com.

This small-scale multiplex will be on air for nine months as part of an Ofcom and radio industry trial�testing more economical ways to distribute stations via DAB.� It�s going on in ten towns and cities across the UK.
