Studio Envy: Gary Kline, Cumulus Media’s SVP Engineering, sends us this picture of the office/broadcast studio used by Kix Brooks for his Nash programming duties, such as “American Country Countdown.” Not exactly a stool, mixer, mic, turntable and cart machine with egg cartons on the wall. Note the leather accoutrements (and the handy liquid supplements). Also take note of the tripods in the studio as well as the lighting. Unseen are wall-mounted cameras that are remote-controlled. Clearly, video options are readily available. The control room is behind the photographer.
