Wheatstone Produces New Processor

FM-55 is aimed at multiple markets

Wheatstone is showing in Las Vegas a new FM processor, the FM-55.

The FM-55 offers five-band control across many sections. There’s a five-band AGC with a five-band limiter.

There’s also a five-band stereo enhancer. Naturally, the FM-55 is fully conversant with WheatNet-IP.

Of course there’s a stereo generator aboard along with program-adaptive L-R for multipath migration. The composite output is available in analog form and baseband192 digital form.

Other features include dual SCA inputs, and AES digital output that can operate as discrete left/right or baseband192 digital multiplex.

In the case of silence, Wheatstone says that input audio can be brought in via analog, AES or WheatNet-IP.

The FM-55 is priced not to break the bank and Wheatstone says it would be a “true value” for LPFMs.
