Thimeo’s Tom Evers, Marianne Seidler and Hans Van Zutphen accepted the hardware for Angry Audio.

The StereoToolBox is the new FM and DAB audio processor from Angry Audio. It can be used for for FM, DAB, HD1 or streaming.

It combines Thimeo’s processing software with hardware engineered and built by Angry Audio. It can be fed with analog, AES/EBU or AES67 sources. Its output is compatible with eitherr analog or digital AES192 multiplex signals.

All processing is done in the composite domain using advanced FFT algorithms.

The StereoToolBox can process both FM and DAB signals at the same time, AngryAudio said. The DAB path uses an advanced look-ahead limiting scheme to optimize for various codecs.  Time alignment between the FM and DAB outputs are adjustable to compensate for encoding delays. Embedded audience measurement is included.

The Thimeo RuleBraker Clipper and Perfect Declipper are included to clean up source material from “overzealous producers.”

Power is supplied by a universal internal supply with IEC connector, auto-ranging for all regions. Remote control is HTML5 browser-based.

Shipping begins Q4 2025, Angry Audio said.
