Audio equipment dealer ProAudio.com, sometimes referred to by its former name Crouse-Kimzey, has been sold to SoundPro. Effective immediately, ProAudio.com will begin integrating its operations under the Sound Productions brand.
According to an announcement on SoundPro’s website: “This partnership brings together two trusted organizations with shared values, deep industry roots and a passion for excellence.” SoundPro said no disruptions to ProAudio.com customers are expected.
Founded in 1971 as Crouse-Kimzey, ProAudio.com has served the broadcast, installation and live sound markets for the last five decades. The company supplies AM/FM broadcasters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with professional audio equipment and other AV solutions.
Similarly, founded in 1973, SoundPro supplies professional audio, video and lighting solutions from its headquarters in Irving, Texas, just seven miles from where ProAudio.com is located in Grand Prairie.
In a Nov. 5 press release, SoundPro CEO Joshua Curlett said: “Our companies share a long history in this industry and a deep respect for the professionals who power it. With this acquisition, SoundPro is expanding what we can offer customers across every market we serve, nationally.”
Former ProAudio.com Owner Mark Bradford added: “SoundPro’s growth has been fueled by a simple promise — treat people right and always deliver excellence. ProAudio.com has lived by the same principle for more than 50 years. This partnership honors that legacy and creates exciting opportunities for our teams, partners and customers.”
According to the release, this acquisition comes during a period of growth for SoundPro as it seeks to grow its national footprint.
