Mayah Sets up U.S. Branch

Running the office is Daniel Loeffler, who has more than 12 years of broadcast sector sales and marketing experience in the North American, European and Asia-Pacific markets.

Mayah Communications has opened a new U.S. office to provide direct support and products to the broadcast industry throughout the Americas.

Running the office is Daniel Loeffler, who has more than 12 years of broadcast sector sales and marketing experience in the North American, European and Asia-Pacific markets.

“At NAB 2008, we will be interviewing and meeting with potential partners for all of our products within the professional broadcast audio and video domain,” said Loeffler. “I am sure that the North American market has a huge potential for products from Mayah, which are strictly standards-based and allow a very high level of interoperability.”

During the NAB Show, Mayah exhibits will include new support materials and firmware for its Centauri II multichannel codec. Among the enhancements are support for session initiation protocol (SIP) and Pro-MPEG FEC. Also available is the MPEG-4 HE AAC v2 codec.

Mayah has also upgraded the remote control software for the Centauri II. Key features include automatic and manual searching for any Mayah codecs available via a LAN.
