RAB said a major radio advertiser will speak at the RAB conference in Atlanta next month. John Costello is executive VP of merchandising and marketing for Home Depot, which RAB called radio’s top national-brand advertiser. He will deliver the Saturday morning keynote.
Costello was with Yahoo prior to joining the company in 2002, and is former president and COO of Nielsen Marketing Research, USA. He is credited with introducing the “softer side of Sears” tagline earlier in his career.
RAB quotes TNS/CMR 2004 saying Home Depot spent more than $100 million in national spot and network in 2003.
