Since his days in radio, the author has worked as a freelance military journalist, having had articles published in the U.S. Military newspaper Stars and Stripes, Army Times and many others. Yablonka has written four books on the Vietnam War, and currently writes for the Sacramento-based Hmong Daily News and the Sentinel, magazine of the Southern California chapter of the Special Forces Association.
