AP Radio said it has been honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in radio network spot news. It received the award from RTNDA for its reporting of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The honor was in the category of spot news by a national radio network. This is AP's first Murrow Award.
RTNDA began honoring achievements in electronic journalism in 1971. The ceremonies are in October.
