Broadcast Electronics has acquired the assets of LocalMedia, an application developer.
LocalMedia was responsible for development of the CrowdControl, DJ Wall and SMS Campaign Manager radio social media tools that BE has released over the past year
Several LocalMedia personnel will transition to BE. They are former VP Engineering Anthony Webb; former VP User Experience David Hoff; and former Business Development Manager Ryan Burgoyne.
BE President and CEO Joseph W. Roark stated in the announcement: “The world continues moving to social media interactivity, young and old alike, and as an industry we must engage them in the way they wish to communicate.”
He said BE radio customers can offer listeners and advertisers social tools “without the large development and maintenance expenses of trying to do it on their own.”
