Bock Picks Up A.I.R. Award

Beau Bock, longtime Atlanta radio executive, was awarded the 2000 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Achievement In Radio Awards Board of Governors. Bock picked up the honor Nov. 7 at a luncheon at The Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead.

Bock began his radio career 27 years ago. He created two of the first sports talk formats in Atlanta, WCNN(AM) and WQXI(AM). Bock was honored “for his unique and innovative approach to sports commentary, his loyalty and contributions to Atlanta radio and his commitment to the Atlanta community.”

Ford Motor Co. sponsored the event. All proceeds went to the Georgia March of Dimes.
