Career Day Returns to NAB Show

Broadcasters who send recruiters can get EEO credit

Representatives from prospective employers including Bonneville International, Entercom, Hubbard Broadcasting, CNN/Turner Broadcasting, The Star Radio Group and PBS Las Vegas are expected to be available at the NAB Show Career Day.

Scheduled for Wednesday, April 14 at the Las Vegas Hilton Ballroom C, Career Day is hosted by the NAB Education Foundation, the Broadcast Education Foundation and the Radio-Television News Directors Association. Edge Technology Services, a media business personnel consultancy, is the sponsor.

Admission is free for job seekers, but pre-registration is required.

Highlights of Career Day include a Career Advising and Career Services Center, staffed with professional career consultants.

The day is designed for all comers, whether experienced professionals, entry-level job seekers and college students.

Planned session topics include understanding and presenting your biggest assets, taking risks in the job search and social networking. Among the stated goals of Career Day is to increase diversity in broadcasting; participating companies can receive EEO credit from the FCC.
