The radio networks are preparing for election coverage and CBS is no exception.
CBS Radio News will cover the 2000 presidential election Tuesday Nov. 7 and Wednesday Nov. 8 with special election updates, news feeds and anchored and unanchored coverage of speeches and press conferences.
Coverage highlights include 60-second updates from 5:31 a.m. Tuesday until 12:31 p.m. Wednesday at :31 past the hour, 90-second updates at :20 and :50 from 6:20 p.m. Tuesday until 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, 60-second updates at :10 and :40 from 6:10 p.m. Tuesday until 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, and 60-second updates from 6:01 p.m. Tuesday until 3:01 a.m. Wednesday at :01 every hour. All times are Eastern.
CBS Radio News will also provide extra news feeds from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning at :35, and live unanchored coverage of acceptance and concession speeches as well as news conferences.
