Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Co. Ltd. (Commercial Radio) revealed that it has selected Stephen Chan Chi Wan as its new chief executive officer.
With experience in public administration, broadcasting and corporate communications, Chan joined Commercial Radio in 1992, as executive assistant to the director and general manager. He later moved to Television Broadcasts Limited as program controller where he was promoted to general manager, Broadcasting in 2004. He rejoined Commercial Radio on March 4, 2012.
Broadcasting since 1959, the Hong Kong broadcaster today operates three services — two in Chinese on FM and one in English on AM. With distinct formats and audiences for each of its stations, Commercial Radio also puts an emphasis on news and public affairs, weather and traffic reports.
