Chuck Bortnick has joined Cumulus Media as regional vice president for the Northeast.
He’ll be overseeing operations for stations including Cumulus properties in Bridgeport and Danbury, Conn., and Westchester and Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Bortnick was most recently executive vice president of the Jack FM brand for SparkNet Communications, developer of that format.
Previously, Bortnick was COO of Westwood One and president of Westwood One subsidiary Metro Networks, the traffic news programming provider. Bortnick was also VP/GM of WFAN(AM) in New York and has worked in radio management in stations in Cleveland, Houston and Miami.
He expressed excitement about returning “to the station side of the business.”
