Cumulus Names Two VPs

Hill takes on a leadership role in Chicago, and Criswell moves to Shreveport

Cumulus Media has tapped Jeff Hill to fill the newly created position of vice president of sales for the Chicago cluster. Additionally, the company named Aaron Criswell as vice president and market manager of Shreveport and Bossier City, La., radio stations.

Hill will head sales for WKQX(FM), WLS(FM) and WLS(AM).

An Illinois native, he will not have to relocate for the new gig, since he previously was director of sales at WGN Radio for eight years. Prior to that role he served as local sales manager and interim general manager at WGN. Hill also had an eight-year stint as a sales manager for ABC Radio and also was a local sales manager for WLS(AM) and for WCKG(AM/FM).

In Louisiana, Aaron Criswell will lead the five-station cluster consisting of KRMD(AM); KMJJ(FM); KQHN(FM); KVMA(FM); and KRMD(FM).

He joins Cumulus from Adams Radio Group, where he was VP/general manager for its Las Cruces, N.M., stations. Prior to that, he was senior media consultant and senior marketing manager for CBS Radio in Sacramento, Calif., and GM/market manager for Mapleton Communications in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Criswell was also formerly senior marketing manager for Cumulus San Francisco. He began his career as a senior broadcast media buyer for Young & Rubicam/Media Edge in San Francisco.
