Eventide Touts Air America Install

On the Who’s Buying What page: Eventide said Air America Radio is using its Broadcast Obscenity Delays for program screening and the Eventide Eclipse for show sound effects. The Air America broadcast air chain is delayed by 10 seconds across the board.
Juan Diaz is vice president of technical operations for Air America Radio, which recently moved into a new home in midtown Manhattan. The facility houses Air America Radio operations out of a central command studio that includes two talk rooms, one control room, a production room and a newsroom.
The delays are controlled remotely through an SAS Rubicon work surface. Two delays are used for the national broadcast, including a backup. A third is used for Air America Radio Syndication and the fourth is used for WLIB, the local station and flagship home of Air America Radio, which airs live weekend content.
