Excelsior Radio Networks formed a programming division within Dial Global that will consist of its X Radio syndication unit and the 24/7 music formats it acquired from Westwood One.
Kirk Stirland was named to head the division, called Dial Global Programming. He reports to David Landau and Ken Williams.
“Dial Global Programming will include the eight newly-acquired 24/7 music formats, renamed Dial Global Digital 24/7 Formats, and all of X Radio’s current shows,” it stated, including the “Rick Dees’ Weekly Top 40,” “Backtrax USA with Kid Kelly,” “Gospel Traxx with Walt ‘Baby’ Love,” “The Big Time Saturday Night with Whitney Allen” and “Big Boy’s Hip Hop Spot,” as well as X Prep services.
