Phoenix Broadcasting, licensee of Seward, Alaska FMs KSWD and KPFN, asked the FCC to waive its fiscal year 2000 regulatory fees. Phoenix said the $300 fee for the two stations would place Phoenix in a “precarious financial condition” since it was also operating FM translators and garnering meager income from those. The agency said Phoenix failed to provide adequate documentation to warrant a waiver.
