Harris Wins IBB Contract for FM Systems

Harris Broadcast has won a contract for FM radio transmission systems from the International Broadcasting Bureau, the governmental body that oversees U.S. overseas broadcasters, including Voice of America, Radio Sawa and Radio and TV Marti.
The dollar amount of the contract could not be estimated at presstime and the sites where the equipment will be installed are yet to be named.
The company said it would ship "numerous" transmission systems, including Harris Quest 1kW FM radio transmitters, Harris Z2CD 2kW FM radio transmitters, Z5CD 5kW FM radio transmitters and Z10CD 10kW FM radio transmitters with accessories.
The contract to Harris also incorporates antennas from Shively Labs and Orban products from CRL Systems Inc.
