JazzWorks, ICP Together For Satellite Digital Audio

JazzWorks, a partnership of WDUQ(FM), Pittsburgh and Boise State Radio, has ordered a digital satellite audio system from ICP.
The company selected ICP’s DCR-974 DigiCeiver satellite audio system because of its built in flash-memory store and forward capability which allows for customization of affiliate stations’ local content by national program hosts. This function also enables radio stations, without automation equipment, to operate unattended while still broadcasting local current content such as traffic reports or weathercasts.
The JazzWorks system consists of ICP’s 48 port digital multiplexer, audio encoders and the receiver.
