Jensen Introduces Its First HD Radio Receivers

Both models offer iPod connectivity with an included connecting cable and are satellite-radio capable.

Audiovox Corp. introduced two HD Radio receivers as part of its Jensen Mobile car audio line.

Models HD5112 and HD5212 are the first HD-R products for the Jensen brand.

Both models offer iPod connectivity with an included connecting cable and are satellite-radio capable.

The units include a USB port and SD card support; they can also support MP3/WMA files, according to Audiovox.

Audiovox President Tom Malone said the HD5112 and HD5212 will give dealer-partners an opportunity to provide the consumer with a high definition alternative to satellite radio. “These products represent an additional selling opportunity with increased profit potential.”

The HD5112 has a silver face plate and lists for just under $150 while the HD5212, which has a black faceplate lists for just under $160.
