JVC HD Radios to be Out This Month

Look for in-dash HD Radios from JVC to be on store shelves soon. Ibiquity has certified JVC’s KD-SHX900 HD Radio car receiver. The aftermarket KD-SHX900 is a single din, in-dash unit. JVC expects the receivers to be available later this month.
“With the certification of our KD-SHX900 HD Radio receiver, we are proud to be one of the first companies to bring the enhanced sound quality and new data services of HD Radio to consumers and move them closer to the perfect AM and FM experience,” states Gary DeFeo, general manager, JVC Mobile Entertainment Division.
JVC joins Kenwood and Panasonic in the HD Radio receiver stable. Onkyo is due out with a home version this fall while Visteon has announced it intends to launch an OEM car HD Radio receiver for the 2005 model year.
