Majones Is Interactive Programming

A company out of Iceland thinks it has a better way to program a radio station: let the listeners do it.
The Gangverk Majones Interactive Radio System puts music selection in the hands of listeners through a station Web site and mobile phone interfaces. Genres are chosen by the station; the exact selection is up to listeners, who can use the Web or mobile interfaces to view the playlist, choose music for broadcast, receive SMS notifications before favorites are played or when friends choose music, chat with other users and buy albums online.
The system would be suitable for Web stations and those broadcasters willing to try a non-traditional approach to program selection.
