Mo Davenport Named SVP/GM, ESPN Radio

ESPN veteran Mo Davenport has been named senior vice president and general manager of ESPN Radio.

ESPN veteran Mo Davenport has been named senior vice president and general manager of ESPN Radio.

He will be based at ESPN Radio studios in Bristol, Conn., and oversee aspects of ESPN Radio content, including talk programming, event play-by-play coverage, podcasts and other online content, as well as distribution, sales and marketing.

Davenport joined ESPN in 1985 as an associate producer, and had served as the network’s vice president, remote production, since 2006

ESPN Radio also named Tim McCarthy and Jim Pastor to the newly created regional general manager positions. McCarthy, who has been president and general manager of WEPN(AM) in New York, will additionally oversee WEAE(AM) in Pittsburgh. Pastor, who has been general manager of WMVP(AM) in Chicago, will also oversee KSPN(AM) in Los Angeles and KESN(FM) in Dallas/Ft. Worth.
