FCC Commissioner Susan Ness says she will leave her post by June 1. By that time, she will have served 7 years at the commission. Citing President George W. Bush’ intention to nominate 3 new commissioners, Ness stated, “I believe that an orderly transition is best accomplished by announcing when my time with the commission will end.”
Commissioner Harold Furchtgott-Roth has also said he intends to leave the agency this year.
