Radio-Only Debate Planned for Democratic Contenders

Two weeks before the Iowa caucuses, the Democratic presidential contenders will take part in a radio-only debate.
NPR News and WOI Radio Group will co-sponsor the event on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, in Des Moines. Neal Conan, host of “Talk of the Nation,” will moderate the debate, which will be available to public radio stations. Six of the nine candidates have accepted thus far.
