Rosenworcel Names New Chief Counsel

FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel announced several changes in her office leadership.

Umair Javed departs the agency. He has been with Rosenworcel since 2017 and has been her chief counsel since the Biden administration took office in January 2021. He is a former attorney with Wiley Rein.

Priscilla Delgado-Argeris, who has been the chairwoman’s chief legal advisor for the past year and a half, now becomes her chief counsel. She was with Meta from 2015–2022 after a prior stint in then-Commissioner Rosenworcel’s office.

Ramesh Nagarajan becomes chief legal advisor to the chairwoman. Currently legal advisor on wireline and enforcement issues, he served before that in the Wireline Competition Bureau, where he was most recently deputy division chief of the Competition Policy Division.

And Rashann Duvall joins Rosenworcel as acting legal advisor on the Affordable Connectivity Program and other wireline issues. She comes from the Wireline Competition Bureau, where she most recently was an assistant division chief in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division.
