Tom Joyner Goes to Tuskegee

Morning show host has strong ties there

Nationally syndicated morning show host Tom Joyner spent Martin Luther King Day in and around Tuskegee, Ala.

Joyner, flying in after his Monday morning show, gave a convocation at Tuskegee University, his alma mater.

But that was not the top of the day’s activities. Joyner also co-hosted a special screening of the new movie “Red Tails.” The movie is about some of the “Tuskegee Airmen” and their service in World War II. Joyner’s father Hercules was one of the Tuskegee Airmen. Pictured is Joyner with and his son Oscar. Joyner holds a picture of his father Hercules while Oscar holds a group shot of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Joyner speaks about the Tuskegee Airmen here.
