Wheatstone says its Layers Software Suite with SystemLink allows you to add mixing, FM/HD processing and streaming instances to any server in your rack room or off-site at AWS or other cloud data centers.
“Plus, now with SystemLink,” the company says, “you can transport linear audio and the whole MPX enchilada, including FM/HD alignment, across any high-speed link.”
Wheatstone’s Layers Software Suite includes Layers Mix, Layers FM and Layers Stream modules for extending studio failover redundancy across multiple AWS or Google cloud data centers or for replacing racks of processors, PCs and mix engines, in the case of an on-prem server.
Layers Mix has a full-featured mix engine and Glass virtual mixers for the laptop, tablet or touchscreen with routing, logic, automixing and native IP audio integration with major automation systems.
Layers Stream has stream provisioning, metadata support and audio processing designed to optimize the performance of audio codecs. Layers Stream is compatible with CDN and streaming platforms.
Layers FM has multiband audio processing, PPM watermarking, RDS capabilities and new SystemLink technology for getting high-quality audio from data centers to the RF transmission site. Processing at 24-bit resolution, SystemLink now makes it possible to transport linear audio and “the whole MPX enchilada,” including FM/HD alignment, across any high-speed link.
Layers is part of the WheatNet-IP audio network, an AoIP ecosystem of hundreds of interconnected devices and elements for audio routing, controlling and automating the modern broadcast studio. Wheatstone will be demonstrating Layers at NAB Show Booth W3000.
