Shure Releases Wireless Workbench 6.9

Sorting out the wireless mess for Shure users

For those using Shure wireless microphone systems, the announced release of a new Wireless Workbench program is a welcome moment.

Wireless Workbench is available in version 6.9 now. The program “maximizes the efficiency and flexibility of Shure wireless microphone systems by helping to coordinate, monitor, and control extensive wireless configurations from a convenient computer interface.”

New features include customizable alerts (for things like battery status or low RF levels) and an improved user interface and more information on available channels in more regions.

Shure has also added an online forum, Wireless Workbench Forum.

Wireless Workbench Forum will be the future source for downloads of the program and upgrades along with the usual forum fodder of discussions, FAQs and tips.

Shure Director of Marketing Communications Terri Hartman said, “With Wireless Workbench 6.9, we meet [our wireless system users’] need for software innovation, and we are pleased to provide a forum where our customers can learn about and discuss the wireless issues that are important to them.”

Wireless Workbench is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 and Mac OS X 10.6.8/10.7/10.8/10.9. It is compatible with Shure Axient wireless management network, UHF-R and LX-D wireless systems and PSM 1000 personal monitoring system.
