DAB Italy is a joint venture corporation of leading national radio groups that want to cover all of Italy with digital radio.� The goal for 2016 is to reach 85% service for over 7,500 kilometers of highway with a perfect broadcast signal.
After recently turning up a new signal in Sardinia, DAB Italy is now preparing the launch of the service across the Adriatic coast and in Puglia. On the Tyrrhenian Sea DAB Italy expects to extend coverage in Campania, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily, according to the schedule approved recently for these regions. �It also expects to soon to activate the service in Umbria.
There are other technical plants ready to go (in band iii) that should provide coverage for Cosenza, Crotone, Catanzaro, Vibo Valentia, Reggio Calabria, Messina, Catania and Syracuse, with coverage also expected along the whole stretch of highway between Cosenza and Siracusa and many urban areas of the provinces concerned, reportsdiariotv.it.
