Frontier Silicon Hits DAB 10 Million Unit Mark

Frontier Silicon is celebrating 10 million sales of DAB receiver chipsets worldwide. With more than 12 million DAB chipsets already in the market, and expansion of two to three million units projected per year, the company says it expects to reach 20 million in less than half the time it’s taken to reach its current numbers.
Frontier’s progress with DAB product sales was recently marked with the addition of a new Tokyo office supporting its distributor there, Sanshin Electronics.
Japan remains a significant market for home audio products and international automotive audio systems with auto giants like Toyota and Nissan.
