DAMME, Germany ��The commissioning of a new DAB+ multiplex transmitter in the northern German city of Damme means that listeners to the public broadcaster NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) can pick up its programs more easily via digital radio.

The new DAB + transmitter will cover the region between Bramsche and Vechta as well as between Quakenbr�ck and Diepholz in Lower Saxony � reaching about 4.1 million people, according tondr.de. The mux is on channel 10A (209.936 MHz) with a transmitting power of 2 kW.

Among the programs transmitted on the new mux are NDR Plus, which is formatted with programs from the 50-year history of NDR, including German-language music titles, international hits and instrumental music. NDR Blue includes charted music, with journalistic programs that provide background information and current information on rock, pop and jazz music. NDR info Special�transmits ARD Info Eight and six hours a day of Funkhaus Europa � European cultural radio station.�In addition, individual Bundestag delegates and football matches are broadcast live as well as the sea weather report, broadcast three times a day.
