Fox Sports Radio is among the many broadcasters sending show personalities to cover the Olympic games in London. It set out its intentions this week.
Starting July 27 Dan Patrick, Pat O’Brien, Rob Dibble and Amy Van Dyken will provide coverage, news and interviews for Fox Sports Radio clients and listeners. Van Dyken is a six-time Olympic gold medalist in swimming.
Fox Sports Radio host Andy Roddick will also be in London, as a participant on the U.S. Men’s Tennis Team.
Patrick and O’Brien will be doing duty for NBC Sports. Fox Sports Radio is a partnership between Clear Channel’s Premiere Networks and Fox Sports.
Separately this week, Dial Global Radio Network, “exclusive radio rights holder for U.S. terrestrial and satellite coverage,” a relationship inherited through its 2011 merger with Westwood One, said it is partnering with U.S. Olympics rightsholder NBC-Universal to present its radio coverage; those broadcasts will also be heard for the first time on SiriusXM. NBC Sports Group and Dial Global recently announced a partnership to create the NBC Sports Radio Network, launching in September.
