U.K.’s Fun Kids Radio Leads Way on Kid Podcasts

Produces 68 different podcasts for kids and families

Fun Kids, a United Kingdom-based children’s radio stations, has proven that kids are just as into podcasts as the rest of us.

The station, which says it’s the biggest producer of kid/family podcasts in the world, started producing kids podcasts in 2009 and to date produces 68 different podcasts that range from topics like science to mystery and reading.

Fun Kids has worked with partners that include the U.K. Space Agency, the National Gallery, the Bank of England, the Intellectual Property Office and the British Heart Foundation to produce some of the shows.

According to RAJAR’s most recent report, 18 percent of U.K. children ages 9–14 listen to podcasts each week, with an average of 41 minutes each.

All of Fun Kids’ podcasts are available for free on the Fun Kids website, the Fun Kids app or on iTunes.
