Davey Wilhoit
Cumulus Media has promoted Davey Willhoit to vice president/market manager for Cumulus Pensacola, and the company has appointed Judy Hoepfl as local sales manager for its five-station cluster in Fort Walton Beach-Destin, Fla.
Willhoit was previously VP of sales for Cumulus Pensacola’s five-station cluster. Prior to that, he was multimedia advertising manager for the Pensacola News Journal and was the lead training manager and area sales manager for YP (once known as Yellow Pages and formerly part of AT&T Advertising Solutions) across eight states.
“Born and raised in Pensacola, his market knowledge and local advertiser relationships are deeply rooted. During his time as vice president of sales, he empowered his team, worked collaboratively and kept everyone focused on a plan that drove results,” said Cumulus Media Regional Vice President Pete DeSimone. “As the new market manager the Pensacola cluster will continue to grow under Davey’s leadership.”
Judy Hoepfl
Judy Hoepfl has 20 years of experience in account management, new account development, digital marketing and events. Previously, she was general sales manager for Apex Broadcasting, Fort Walton Beach-Destin; senior media consultant for Cox Media, Fort Walton Beach-Destin; and senior account representative for Clear Channel Radio-Mobile/Pensacola. Hoepfl started her media sales career as senior account representative for Cumulus Media Fort Walton Beach-Destin.
“Judy’s proven record of achievement and longstanding customer relationships with local clients, accounts and agencies, make her the ideal choice for this position,” said DeSimone. “Her leadership, talent and experience will add to our team and help position us for continued growth. We’re thrilled to have her back on the Cumulus Media team.”
John Boyle
In New Orleans, Cumulus Media has named John Boyle as operations manager and program director for WRKN(FM) and WZRH(FM).
He most recently was the program director for Cumulus’ WSJZ(FM) in Melbourne, Fla. Prior to that, he was promotions director and director and producer of artist performance videos for Entercom Sacramento’s six-station cluster.
Boyle has also held program director positions in San Luis Obispo, Calif., KZOZ(FM); Bakersfield, Calif. KKXX(FM); and Lansing, Mich. WWDX(FM).
