IHeartMedia Hearbook Commemorates 2014

Chart music trends with interactive music memories

If you’re a fan of pop culture and music, iHeartMedia has a holiday treat for you in the form of its 2014 Hearbook.

Modeled after a high school yearbook, complete with cheesy superlatives and photos, iHeartMedia chronicled the big trends of the past year in its interactive digital page.

The radio angle? All of the entries and winners are based on national listening data, which was analyzed to determine the year’s biggest songs, artists, events and trends.

According to their data the top 10 songs of the year were:
1. “Fancy” Iggy Azalea
2. “Dark Horse” Katy Perry
3. “Happy” Pharrell Williams
4. “All About That Bass” Meghan Trainor
5. “Problem” Ariana Grande
6. “Talk Dirty” Jason Derulo
7. “Turn Down for What” DJ Snake and Lil Jon
8. “Drunk in Love” Beyonce and Jay Z
9. “Wiggle” Jason Derulo
10. “Rude” Magic!

Additional categories include: Superlatives and Rivalries, which analyzed which artists came out on top during trends and controversies.
