Stations from Clear Channel’s Albany, N.Y., cluster raised over $626,000 for Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center during a 30-hour annual Cares for Kids Radiothon, May 2–3.
The stations involved were WGY(AM/FM) and WRVE(FM), 99.5 The River.
The radiothon began in 1999. The hospital is part of the Children’s Miracle Network and provides programs and services for a 25-county region around Albany, according to a release.
WGY Program Director Josh Everett said, “It takes a dedicated team of hospital and radio station volunteers to make the radiothon a success, but the true heroes are the children and the families being helped by these efforts.”
