Levin Ready to Roll as Clear Channel Lobbyist

Clear Channel Communications has opened its Washington lobbying office and chosen Andrew Levin as chief lobbyist, officially the senior vice president for government relations.
Levin, an attorney and CPA, spent the last seven years as minority counsel to the U.S. House Commerce, where he was chief telecommunications advisor to ranking member John Dingell of Michigan and counsel to Democratic members of the committee on communications policy and technology.
Levin has 20 years’ experience with telecommunications issues. During his time on the Hill, he was a House negotiator on legislation that affected broadcasters, including the Telecommunications Act of 1996. In 2001, he was a candidate to fill the open Democratic slot on the FCC.
