Sirius to Launch Thursday

Sirius Satellite Radio plans to launch its service in four markets Thursday: Houston, Phoenix, Denver and Jackson, Miss.
Jackson, where Sirius President/CEO Joe Clayton helped launch satellite TV, will see special consumer events beginning Wednesday evening at CE retailer Cowboy Maloney’s including performances by Randy Travis, Earl Scruggs, Tom T. Hall, Tracy Lawrence and Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, broadcasts and in-car demos of the Sirius service, and an appearance by the No. 7 Sirius Satellite Radio Dodge Intrepid R/T driven by Casey Atwood on the NASCAR circuit.
