A relatively new national organization for college students will convene in New Orleans this month.
College Broadcasters Inc. is a three-year-old group formed to communicate with and organize various media and provide guidance, legal advice and support.
CBI, College Media Advisors and Associated Collegiate Press will host a conference of broadcast and journalism students and their advisors Oct. 24-28.
The convention features speakers such as NPR President Kevin Klose and journalist Rick Bragg. Sessions include Web site management, staff motivation, underwriting/sales and the future of student media.
CBI will provide a live webcast from the convention center via its Web site, www.collegebroadcasters.org.
