Roz Clark and the gang at SBE39, Tampa Bay, have put together a Broadcasters Technology Symposium for Nov. 12. The location is the Nielsen facility in Oldsmar, Fla.
They are encouraging everyone who can to participate as they build this regional show.
John Collinson, one of the organizers, said, “Beginning in 2009 Tampa Bay Chapter 39 has produced this annual day of technical information for all broadcast engineers and others in related technical fields. Thanks to the great participation by our sponsors we’ve been able to do that at very minimal cost to attendees, enabling everyone to attend.”
The event is sponsored by American Tower, SCMS, Broadcasters General Store, HiLights and Nielsen Co. There will be presentations covering ratings technology (Nielsen), AES67 (Wheatstone), liquid-cooled transmission (GatesAir), general broadcast technology talks along with sessions for TV engineers.
