Television network ABC and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment have joined in a partnership that combines TV and radio to deliver content via iHeartRadio.
The partnership will bring ABC programming to iHeartRadio Talk, including ABC News, “Nightline,” “20/20,” “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” and exclusive content from “Good Morning America,” plus highlights from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “The View.”
According to a blog on the ABC News website, the agreement delivers on ABC’s goal of expanding its network and channel brands across multiple platforms. Through the new iHeartRadio Talk feature, each show will have a dedicated show page featuring highlights on-demand. “Good Morning America” will also produce exclusive extras.
IHeartRadio will provide a weekly DJ on “Good Morning America” segments beginning this fall, featuring the DJ spinning hits in front of a studio audience. ABC and Clear Channel will also work together to book artists for GMA’s 2014 Summer Concert Series.
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment will feature ABC shows in a nine-week fall promotional campaign and a nine-week spring promotional campaign, including digital, social, mobile and on-air promotion. ABC will also promote “Good Morning America on iHeartRadio Talk” on its Jumbotron in Times Square.
