Advanced Broadcast Solutions, a Kent, Wash.-based communications systems integrator that counts several regional radio broadcasters as clients, has announced an alliance with Seattle-based broadband satellite communications services provider Antenna & Satellite Technology Inc.
ABS President Mark Siegel said that the deal lets his company expand its portfolio of services and expertise to encompass satellite antenna uplinks, receivers and distribution networks that route satellite signals throughout a customer’s facility. “In turn, we at ABS can contribute systems integration services such as designing and building broadcast studios, to ASTI’s broadband satellite customers.”
Pat Hart of ASTI stated, “Over the years we and ABS have often found ourselves contracted to work on the same projects.” With a strategic alliance, he said, the two can now “present ourselves as a single, unified solution, from sales to technical support.”
